While if I were put in Raskolnikov’s case I would probably be quite mad at Luzhin, I do think he should have given him a chance before automatically writing him off. His presumptions were probably quite right, but at that time they were only that-presumptions. Personally I think R.’s treatment of Luzhin lines up with the rest of his actions-rash and dramatic.
