In the name of science

Should there be morals in science? Is scripture a legitimate source for these morals? Or should we rely on feeling? These are all questions that scientists, scholars and average people grapple with daily. The world is constantly trying to find answers to the thousands of questions they have, but they refuse to look in the Book of Answers! If we do not get morals from God where do we get them from? Our feelings? Is it okay to do research on people without their consent? Still more questions rage in the minds of science lovers and doctors. What if the research done isn't completely moral but will save tons of lives? Proverbs 1:7 says "The fear of The Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." I think that a major problem in todays society is that we have lost our great fear and respect of our creator and as fools we despise the wisdom and instruction He has given us. We as a people will reap the consequences.
Now before I advance in this exposition I must define the term science. What is the true definition of science? Simply put, good science is the constant search for accurate information. But we can divide that term even further into historical science and observational science. Much can be said about these but for the purpose of this paper I will keep it short and simple as we will mainly be focusing on the atrocities of some experimentation in observational  science. So, historical science is a term used to describe sciences in which data is provided primarily from past events and for which there is usually no direct experimental data. Therefore historical science cannot ever be "proven" just as we cannot "prove scientifically" that George Washington was our first president. Although we can look at History and see that in fact he was. Observational Science is theoretical, experimental and applied research related to oceanic, atmospheric, and terrestrial sciences. The ultimate goal of observational science is a better description of the world around us. It is the study of natural processes that we can observe now. True scientist which study this type of science are constantly searching to figure new things out to aid the human race.  This science consists of things you can repeat. It is experimentation with a purpose.
Have you seen that wonderful baby soap that is tear free? Ahh how sweet your baby doesn't have any more tears in the bath because tons of cute baby rabits have their eyelids glued open and are getting soap dropped in their eyeballs. Yes God gave humans animals. He gave us them to care for and to help care for us. God did not put animals not his earth for wicked people to use and abuse by playing god. It clearly states this in Genesis as God gives humans the dominion mandate and in Proverbs 12:10 "A righteous man regardeth the life of His beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." Even when experimentation on animals is not necessarily harmful we must remember that men are evil and almost anything tried on animals will eventually be tried on humans. Genetically modified cows that do exactly what the ranchers want them to do when they want it to do it sooner or later turns into genetically modified babies exactly how their parents want them to look, the gender they want them and so forth.
Nowadays if you have enough money practically anything is possible. You may think cloning is still in the research stages. Far from it. Cloning is happening now. Rich men that have bad organs or simply want to live longer can pay for a clone. They let this little human grow up for the sole purpose of harvesting it's organs. To me this is sickening. When man decides to start trying to make more humans it if playing God and any student of History knows that playing God never ends well even if you have enough money to do whatever you want. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us of seven of the things that God hates. I think these single issue of cloning falls under every one of them. "These things doth The Lord hate: yeah seven are ab abomination unto Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running into mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."
In the end then, we need a code of ethics. And God gave us that in His Word. We must look to the scriptural principles and guidelines this once great country was founded on. "For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life." Proverbs 6:23 We must not succumb to the pressures around us that say it is all right to do practically anything in the name of science. I don't care what you call it. When you stick a scissor like object up a babies neck and chop up its brains so that it is debilitated and through it out as garbage or use it for scientific experimentation that is murder and worse. It hurts for me to even type what I just typed. What scum would allow that? What horrible person would preform or have preformed that activity? The majority of America. United States lawmakers. The leader of our nation endorses this activity! Where will we draw the line? Where will we say "Enough!"? If we continue to let such atrocities happen right under our noses there is no telling what might come next in the dreaded name of science. Even if the end seems to justify the means, God never allows for doing evil for so-called good purposes. We as humans in the image of God must adopt morals even in so-called science. We must look to the simple yet profound words that will speak to every circumstance. We must drench this nation and every aspect of our lives in God's Word, His code of ethics and His inpenitratable love. We must remember the wise words of Proverbs 11:11 "By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked."
