Men's ideas and so called "important things in life" are constantly changing. But God's counsel and His eternal ideals will stand forever.
Psalm 33:6-11 "By the word of The Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea togetheras an heap: He layeth up the depth in storehouses. Let all the earth fear The Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. The Lord bringeth the counsel fo the heathan to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of The Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations."
God created all and is in charge of all. Those who recognize this fact are blessed and should worship God. All God's statutes will stand!
Hebrews 6:17 "Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath."
God confirms the unchangeableness of His counsel to the heirs of His eternal promise by an oath.
Mark 1:14-15 "Now after theat John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfileld, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
In verse 15 Jesus explains the good news-the kingdom of God is at hand! He tells us it is time to repent of our sins and evil ways. Then he says for us to believe the gospel-His words.
Acts 3:18-20 "But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all His prophets, that Christ should suffer, He hath so fulfilled. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and He shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:"
