"The leading mercenary for the British East India Company, Will Reynolds has just been double-crossed and now is on the run in the American Colonies. Working to redeem his name and win back the affections of the woman with whom he's never been fully truthful, Will now hides behind a new mask in hopes of thwarting his former employer. As his past life closes in on him, Will must somehow gain the trust and the help of his beloved Charlotte - as well as Ben Franklin - while he races against time to defuse a plot of historical proportions. Coming to theaters Spring, 2015, BEYOND THE MASK is a revolutionary new family film that brings history to life in a faith-filled adventure celebrating grace, liberty, and the true freedom that can only be found in Christ."

What I enjoyed:
Behind the Mask was more a picture of God's grace and redemption than a love story although it was that too!

Lack of inappropriateness! My mom, as well as me, really appreciated that they were able to portray love without lust.

It was wonderful to see a well made, fully enthralling movie, that had Christ at the center. It was definitely of the best made, Christian movies! I never had the feeling I was watching a low fund movie.

I of course thought it was very interesting to see an "action" movie set in the 1700s. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I loved the scene at the end after he saved congress and the girl and they are running out of the windmill.....

You will have to watch the movie to know what I am talking about. :)

What I didn't like as much:
Of course they had to kiss before they were married... but other than that the romance was very clean and sweet.

Who I would recommend this to:
All ages. We watched it with ages ten to adult, and had a blast!
While the older viewers were enjoying the deeper meaning behind the story there was also the immediate dilemmas and at a certain point in the movie the ten year old (Jesse) said, completely enthralled, "Is he going to come back to save the girl?"
